Diamond in the ruff

Growing up & playing music in New Orleans introduced me to many talented souls; each unique. I enjoyed playing with the fellas & bands who would have me.

Along my journey out of New Orleans long ago, I was fortunate enough to meet a young guy whilst at a gas station. He was selling cds for his uncle, but it was dude who turned out to have the talent. We kept in touch, becoming homeboys. His wife is a homegirl of mine as well. As fate would have it, they're both wiccans. These two & their family have made me feel like a welcomed long lost family member.

My boy is a dedicated father & husband, trying to get his talent...his gift of music..out there yet he still is this atomic superdad 🤣 Big Lance Money juggles it all while still finding time to be a dedicated husband & father. I watch his struggle & admire him. Being a new father, I can use a few pages outta his book bcuz he always puts his family first. That's how I want to be for Daenarick.

My move down here has shown me there is a big difference in the live music venues. I still gig out but it's all piecemeal. I take what I can get. I go where the money is so I play different genres, but sometimes it's so dry I have to take that drive back to New Orleans. There, it's easy for me to gig out bcuz they know how I do. It's easy for me to make money there.

What's hard is for my homeboy to make his coin down here. The music industry is a hard one. He is a soulful rapper, unlike me the guitarist, but we both share the same passion for our music. We both share the same fire. We both have that drive to be better. We're cut from the same cloth. We both are great fathers; unlike me, he is married to the love of his life.

My homeboy Big Lance Money is planning on dropping his mixtape project soon. I plan on supporting him best I can...be it handing out flyers, cranking up Lucille's sound system & blowing out the fucking block with his music, or even posting him on social media. I aim to help as we've ventured out on music projects in the past.

A rapper who has time to help cook, clean, love his woman, be superdad & still drop fire music? My boy showing us he can do it all. I send out many blessing vibrations of mirth, endurance, prosperity, strength, courage, & love💯
